You could test it pretty easily too. The trick it so hack driver to
upload TH7579 firmware for your Mygica. Mygica likely downloads firmware
from the eeprom before enumerated to usb bus - thus no firmware upload
from the driver point of view normally.

Not an expert on the internals of dvb-usb, but in what kind of
situation the state would not be available?
