Hi, I added some printk in cx23885-dvb.c and the problem is in i2c_new_device: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/tree/drivers/media/pci/cx23885/cx23885-dvb.c?id=refs/tags/v3.19.1#n1935 The returned client_tuner is not NULL, but client_tuner->dev.driver is. Hence it will goto frontend_detach, which will then return -EINVAL. Any idea why client_tuner->dev.driver is NULL?
