Suspending the system while a radio or TV channel is actively playing
using the Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS DVB-t USB stick in for example VLC,
the system fails to suspend. The system will interact and will not wake
up again. A hard reset of the computer is required.

A workaround is available at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1404976 . Note that
removing the module as I did in the workaround is not really necessary.
It is sufficient to stop playback in VLC to successfully suspend. I just
added this in my script as an additional precaution in case the VLC LUA
telnet interface would change in a future release.
I am a noob, but to me this bugs seems to be caused because the DVB-t
data stream is not closed or blocked by the kernel before kernel
processes that handle this data are stopped so that important buffers
are flooded with data. Of course, I may be totally wrong with this guess.
