Do you use platform data or DT currently?

Do you have a particular CSI-2 receiver there? In this case, its driver
should ask the image source (i.e your HDMI -> CSI-2 bridge) about its mbus
configuration before streaming. I don't think any driver does that at the
moment.

Just any of the V4L2_MBUS_CSI2_*_LANE flags should be enough for now.
Configuring the CSI-2 bus properties (physical bus config, what's
transmitted on the bus etc.) in general needs to be thought properly out
some time in the future but this should get you going at least.
