rc-main.c is getting quite large and contains two distinct parts, one related to the chardev (fops, sysfs, etc) and one related to all key functionality. Split off the key functionality to a separate file in preparation for the coming patches. I've done the splitting as a separate patch with the absolute minimum changes (making some methods non-static) because it's nigh impossible to review code changes and this code of split in the same patch.
