Luis,

I'd say that the better is to implement it already using the new
statistics API. There's no sense on adding new drivers to the
Kernel using the obsolete API.

Please don't use C99 comments. Either use /* */ or enclose
those things at a #if 0...#endif block (or just remove, if
there's no intention to implement/use it in the future).

Don't use upper case. We only user uppercase on #define constants.

Hmm.. if err is less then 0, just return the error.

Also, I think we use a different code for errors at I2C transfers
(-EIO, I think).

-EINVAL seems more appropriate.

Yes, and the proper return value for an invalid value should be -EINVAL.

Why to do the two above printk? Ok, they could be interesting for debug, but
a normal driver should not pollute the logs with those messages.
Also, the printks below will print a message anyway if an error happened or
if the firmware got loaded properly.

No need for the above printk, as the driver is already printing an
error message if firmware load fail.

In the case of DVB-S, just set c->rolloff to 0.35, as a DVB-S client will
never fill c->rolloff. If you fail to do that, a switch from DVB-S2 to
DVB-S will fail, if the previous channel was using a different rolloff.

> > +		}

Not actually needed, as you'll be already doing that at the
switch(c->rolloff) logic below.
