That said, there aren't really any examples explaining the full process (as the process varies considerably depending on the design of the board as well, what chips it uses, and what drivers are already written). This might be a decent article for you to read, although you don't need to worry about the aspects related to the actual tuner frontend since the cx25821 designs only do CVBS/S-video capture. Nope. You've entered the realm of "things that only companies care about". Regular users don't care about capture boards with lots of inputs. The closest I can suggest is the Viewcast 450e, which can mux 12 video inputs muxed across four actual capture ports.
