So the question over storing in modes versus free-form cropping/binning was raised at Dublin in 2022, and seems to largely have gone nowhere since. In this series Sakari queried IQ issues with adjusting HBLANK on this sensor. The same query is valid for cropping/binning changes, and probably more so.
