Hmm.  Maybe something like this instead?

"Even though a V4L2 device node can be opened multiple times,
             ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
only one open file descriptor should be used for streaming."
         ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^
