You should include <linux/io.h> for MMIO access.

As the min/max sizes are multiple of 16 this is right, but conceptually,
it should be DIV_ROUND_UP(DW100_MAX_W, DW100_BLOCK_SIZE) + 1, right ?
I'd write it that way.

Nitpicking, you could move the fmt variable inside the loop.

I think you need to restrict the format type based on fsize->type.

I think this should only be done when setting the format on the output
video node. That wilml guarantee that q_data == src_q_data, so you can
drop the src_q_data variable then.

This is one of the cases where going slightly over the 80 columns limit
wouldn't shock me :-)

I don't mind either way.

I'd remove the "<<< " prefix, possibly replacing it with "%s"...,
__func__. Same below. But actually I'd drop the message completely here,
the selection rectangle is returned to userspace unmodified, I don't
think this message will help debugging anything.

You also need to ensure that top/left won't be higher than
hframe/wframe.

> > +		if (sel->r.left + sel->r.width > wframe)

You could also write it as

		sel->r.top = clamp(sel->r.top, 0, hframe - DW100_MIN_H);
		sel->r.left = max(sel->r.left, 0, wframe - DW100_MIN_W);
		sel->r.width = min(sel->r.width, wframe - sel->r.left);
		sel->r.height = min(sel->r.height, hframe - sel->r.top);

Up to you.

(Please check that DW100_MIN_W and DW100_MIN_H are the right margins for
the left/top values)
