I am not an expert on this statistics algo. My understanding: height_per_slice means number of blocks in vertical axis per Metadata slice. ImgU divide grid-based Metadata into slices, each slice refers to grid_width * height_per_slice blocks, if height_per_slice is 0, that means the grid_width is too large to use.
