That's a good point, it makes me less worried.

That's useful information, thank you. Could you briefly explain that in the 
commit message ?

My understanding is that the control reports the error code of the last 
SET_CUR request for any entity (terminal, unit, interface or endpoint). I 
don't think the device is expected to store the last error code for each 
entity, just the last error code for the last SET_CUR request.

Remember that SET_CUR requests targeting the video streaming interfaces (such 
as the video probe and commit controls) are sent on the control pipe, that is 
through control requests of endpoint 0. That's why the specification mentions 
"on the control pipe", which is different than "on the video control 
interface".

As think the unit field should be 0 as explained above, as the spec says "Zero 
and Interface".
