Reporting a bug on my own series:

This patch causes the following warnings to be generated on
vsp-unit-test-0004.sh when based on v4.12-rc1

[  104.093663] =====================================================
[  104.099793] WARNING: HARDIRQ-safe -> HARDIRQ-unsafe lock order detected
[  104.106452] 4.12.0-rc1-00013-g09081a93f796 #387 Not tainted
[  104.112054] -----------------------------------------------------
[  104.118183] yavta/8838 [HC0[0]:SC0[0]:HE0:SE1] is trying to acquire:
[  104.124572]  (vsp1_hgo:206:(&hgo->ctrls.handler)->_lock){+.+...}, at:
[<ffffff80085b12b8>] hgo_configure+0xb0/0x168
[  104.135097]
               and this task is already holding:
[  104.140959]  (&(&pipe->irqlock)->rlock){-.-...}, at: [<ffffff80085ac024>]
vsp1_video_start_streaming+0x8c/0xd0
[ 104.151025] which would create a new lock dependency:
[  104.156102]  (&(&pipe->irqlock)->rlock){-.-...} ->
(vsp1_hgo:206:(&hgo->ctrls.handler)->_lock){+.+...}
[  104.165469]
               but this new dependency connects a HARDIRQ-irq-safe lock:
[  104.173427]  (&(&pipe->irqlock)->rlock){-.-...}
[  104.173433]
               ... which became HARDIRQ-irq-safe at:
[  104.184207]   mark_lock+0x1c0/0x6b8
