There is no point in defining I2C adapter IDs when no code is using them. As this field might go away in the future, stop using it when we don't need to. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@xxxxxxxxxxxx> --- There are 2 different cases: * If ir-kbd-i2c tests the adapter ID on older kernels, we have to keep the ID definition in the v4l-dvb repository and only drop it in the upstream kernel. * For other adapter drivers, we can drop the definition right away. linux/drivers/media/video/au0828/au0828-i2c.c | 1 - linux/drivers/media/video/bt8xx/bttv-i2c.c | 4 ++++ linux/drivers/media/video/cafe_ccic.c | 1 - linux/drivers/media/video/cx18/cx18-i2c.c | 2 ++ linux/drivers/media/video/cx231xx/cx231xx-i2c.c | 1 - linux/drivers/media/video/cx23885/cx23885-i2c.c | 2 ++ linux/drivers/media/video/em28xx/em28xx-i2c.c | 2 ++ linux/drivers/media/video/hdpvr/hdpvr-i2c.c | 1 - linux/drivers/media/video/ivtv/ivtv-i2c.c | 4 ++++ linux/drivers/media/video/pvrusb2/pvrusb2-i2c-core.c | 2 ++ linux/drivers/media/video/vino.c | 1 - linux/drivers/media/video/w9968cf.c | 1 - linux/drivers/media/video/zoran/zoran_card.c | 1 - 13 files changed, 16 insertions(+), 7 deletions(-) --- v4l-dvb.orig/linux/drivers/media/video/bt8xx/bttv-i2c.c 2009-06-04 14:08:18.000000000 +0200 +++ v4l-dvb/linux/drivers/media/video/bt8xx/bttv-i2c.c 2009-06-19 20:30:59.000000000 +0200 @@ -355,7 +355,9 @@ int __devinit init_bttv_i2c(struct bttv /* bt878 */ strlcpy(btv->c.i2c_adap.name, "bt878", sizeof(btv->c.i2c_adap.name));
