Hi, I have recently got a Tevii s650 DVB-S2 receiver that I am trying to get to work on my Ubuntu 9.04 system. I have installed mythbuntu and the latest v4l drivers and I am using firmware from Tevii.com. dvb-usb-s650.fw is renamed to dvb-usb-dw2104.fw and copied into /lib/firmware together with dvb-fe-cx24116.fw. Everything looks just fine but when trying "cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 > file.mpg" nothing happens, the file never get any contents. The receiver seems to be recognized just fine by the system: [ 8.677642] dvb-usb: found a 'TeVii S650 USB2.0' in cold state, will try to load a firmware [ 8.677647] usb 1-4: firmware: requesting dvb-usb-dw2104.fw [ 8.685991] cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain [ 8.723171] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-dw2104.fw' [ 8.723175] dw2102: start downloading DW210X firmware [ 8.776337] cfg80211: World regulatory domain updated: [ 8.776341] (start_freq - end_freq @ bandwidth), (max_antenna_gain, max_eirp) [ 8.776343] (2402000 KHz - 2472000 KHz @ 40000 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 8.776346] (2457000 KHz - 2482000 KHz @ 20000 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 8.776348] (2474000 KHz - 2494000 KHz @ 20000 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 8.776350] (5170000 KHz - 5250000 KHz @ 40000 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 8.776352] (5735000 KHz - 5835000 KHz @ 40000 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 8.844033] dvb-usb: found a 'TeVii S650 USB2.0' in warm state.
