https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15883 Summary: downloaded ubuntu updates now cannot start ubuntu Product: Documentation Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: man-pages AssignedTo: documentation_man-pages@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: josebau9@xxxxxxx Regression: No I'm new to Linux and Ubuntu. so far I've had a great experience. However, today I my update manager wanted to install a bunch of updates and when I restarted I got an error that says "you need to load kernel first" it will not let me start Ubuntu. If I cursor down 3 lines on the boot menu and pick another Ubuntu it lets me start. I'm assuming that's the old version before the updates. How do I load a kernel?
