TLS/NPTL for m68k and ColdFire

Freescale and CodeSourcery are working to implement TLS/NPTL for the m68k.

Previously Joseph Myers of CodeSourcery provided a draft of his proposal at:
    http://marc.info/?l=linux-m68k&m=119644992713696&w=2

Several people participated in the discussion - primarily Brad, Roman
and Richard.

From reading the discussion it appears that Joseph's proposal of using
the VDSO approach was questioned and alternatives such as the ARM Magic
page were looked at but that VDSO still seems to be the way to go. Is
this agreed or should alternatives be looked at? If this isn't the
direction the community finds acceptable let's attempt to resolve it.

I've been working on a VDSO implementation (very early stages) to use
with CodeSourcery.

I'd definitely like to see Roman's early VDSO work if possible.

Comments/suggestions/flames?
