Partitions are handled by the generic layer. Just provide `a few' of
them.

Not sure what you Michael started on but for the [PARTITION] disk driver there
is just one partition on each of the disks (=host partitions).

I mean if you implement a block driver that accesses a raw (virtual) disk.
In that case, the generic block layer handles the individual partitions.
