I just tried to compile a newer kernel than Kars` hand-made 2.6.14-amiga
with working 53c700 SCSI drivers, so I made a checkout yesterday from CVS,
configured and compiled the kernel and after 650 minutes this happened:

  CC drivers/scsi/53c700.o
  CC drivers/scsi/a4000t.o
  CC drivers/scsi/zorro7xx.o
drivers/scsi/zorro7xx.c: In function 'zorro7xx_init_one':
drivers/scsi/zorro7xx.c:104: error: implicit declaration of function
'ZTWO_VADDR'
make[2]: *** [drivers/scsi/zorro7xx.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [drivers/scsi] Error 2
make: *** [drivers] Error 2

It would be nice to have a newer working kernel for my two Debian buildds,
though... ;-)

Doesn't happen for me. Can you please post your .config?

In personal conversations with technical people, I call myself a hacker. But
when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
