It sort of is, that stuff was cleaned up, but Linux had some values 
hardcoded and some of it got lost. In this case though it shouldn't make 
a difference, as gas should accept these instructions even with -m68020.

Removing ".cpu 68000" makes the problem go away. It seems binutils 2.12 
(woody) doesn't support that pseudo-op anyway...

What binutils version do you use?
