Kernels > 2.6.16 no longer work on HP9000/300

Hello everyone,

I have been unable to boot a kernel on my HP9000/425t ever since 2.6.17.
It get stuck without any output immediately after booting. The leds
indicate the last thing that was done was to call start_kernel().

I wonder if this has anything to do with the discontiguous memory
updates.
I tried a kernel with CONFIG_SINGLE_MEMORY_CHUNK=y and one with
CONFIG_SINGLE_MEMORY_CHUNK=n, it didn't make a difference.

I think I'll add an early serial console to see if I can debug it.

Kind regards,

Kars.
