[PATCH 2/3] drivers/net/wan/dscc4.c: fix error return code

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

From: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@xxxxxxx>

Move up the initialization of rc so that failure of pci_alloc_consistent
returns -ENOMEM as well.

A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as
follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)

// <smpl>
@@
identifier ret;
expression e1,e2;
@@

if (ret < 0)
 { ... return ret; }
 ... when != ret = e1
     when forall
*if(...)
 {
  ... when != ret = e2
* return ret;
 }
// </smpl>
