Hi, I'm taking a masters degree in computer engineering and I'm really interested in OSs, so the idea of hacking the linux kernel really got to my curiosity. While I was looking for the best way to start I found this project which seemed a really good way for me to get into the kernel. The thing is the idea I got from the project's website and irc channel is that project is kind of dead. I want to know if that is the case or if there is anyone out there willing to help me out. I have a fair knowledge of C programming and UNIX programming, my knowledge of assembly and cpu architectures is a bit poor though. Also, if anyone could recommend the "best" way to get my feet wet (books to read, documentation to read, tasks to start hacking), any help would be appreciated. Since the kernel is such a big monster I might add that one of my main interest areas is scheduling. I'm sorry if my English isn't perfect but as it is not my main language there might be some screw ups.
