I'd really like to see it or some other fix to this issue merged. The underlying bug is a significant one that can cause ftrace/livepatch/BPF fentry to fail silently. I've noticed this bug in another context[1] and realized they're the same issue. I'm happy to help with this patch series to address any issues as needed.
