Even if INITRAMFS_SOURCE is empty, usr/gen_initramfs.sh generates a tiny default initramfs, which is embedded in vmlinux. So, defining INITRAMFS_COMPRESSION* options should be valid irrespective of INITRAMFS_SOURCE.
