Please, don't top-post.

It's something you configure in your editor, not in the file. The file
already uses tabs, so you just have to tell your editor to use 8 'spaces'
to represent tabs. In vim, you do it thus:
  :set tabstop=8

I'll leave it to you as an exrecise on how to set in your favorite editor.
