This seems like it's going to be dependent upon "specific" CPU SKU, no?

If you can't detect the bounds from the WMI API I think it would be smarter to use the CPU vendor specific CPUID/MSR APIs to discover the topology and how many cores of the different types exist.

Furthermore what about LP cores? I guess those can't be turned and off from this API?
