I do not exactly get what you mean with this and how you get to 24, which isn't the maximum of the kbc-row-pins, but the maximum of kbc-row-pins and kbc-col-pins added. I would be glad to get some more clarification abou that.

While mentioned in matrix-keymap.yaml, it is not defined as a schema
anywhere. It needs a type. I guess here is fine as this doesn't seem
to be used much.
