[PATCH] hid-lenovo: Add support for IBM/Lenovo Scrollpoint mice

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

The following patches add the IBM/Lenovo Scrollpoint device ids to hid/hid-ids.h and enable horizontal scrolling for these mice in hid-lenovo.
These mice feature a trackpoint-like stick instead of a scroll wheel and allow 2-dimensional scrolling which is not working with the usbhid driver.
This patch-set allows both scrolling axis to be used.
In 2013 Peter De Wachter submitted a patch for a stand-alone driver for these devices to Jiri Kosina which never got merged since there were no more replies on the LKML.
These patches implement the feedback Jiri gave 5 years ago, have been updated against the current kernel sources and also have been splitted into two logically separable patches by me.
