Hello gentlemen, I have returned. After trying to figure out for a few days how to apply the patch and not really getting anywhere, I eventually bothered Andrew who very helpfully showed me the way (thank you again Andrew!). The patch works very well. No mouse input lockups anymore when depressing hardware mouse button. Left-click performs as it should. However right-clicking does not. It performs exactly as if it were also a left-click button. It is admittedly hard to tell how many buttons should be on this clickpad since there's a trackpad covering them up. But this was originally designed to be a Windows machine so I'm sure there's at least a separate right-click button. I am enclosing some new evemu-record, hid-recorder, and dmesg debug data. Each of these recordings is me using a non-conductive pen to click the left mouse button and then the right. Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide. Thank you.
