Hello I'm thinking about buying one of those: Exsys EX-3400 with Sil3124 and RAID Firmware Exsys EX-3403 with Marvell 88SX6081 Which one is better supported? I would like to prefer the Sil3124 Card because on the libata Page it says that is' a nice open design. But it has a RAID Firmware which makes it more expensive. And would the firmware permit me to use it "just" as a normal sata controller? On the other hand the Marvell card has 8 ports and no firmware, but is it so good supported as the Sil card?
