[POLL] Which Linux distro now? And tomorrow?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

Red Hat, SuSE and Ubuntu all have dropped IA-64 support for several years.
Rumors are that Debian will do so once Wheezy is out (e.g.
http://lists.debian.org/debian-ia64/2012/09/msg00005.html).
I thought that Gentoo was still active, but ISOs are several months
old and Gentoo-ia64 list was closed long time ago.

Questions are:
- IA-64 gurus, which Linux distro are you currently using for your
daily kernel development?
- What will be our remaining options if Debian also drops IA-64 support?

Thanks,

     Emeric
