ftrace and lockdep on ia64?

IA64 got ftrace support a while ago, but recently ftrace grew a
dependency on CONFIG_STACKTRACE_SUPPORT and
CONFIG_TRACE_IRQFLAGS_SUPPORT so it happens to be disabled in current
mainline. Interestingly those two dependencies are also the same that
are required for lockdep, which means IA64 never supported lockdep
(quite scary, eh?)

I found an old patch from Luming Yu to implement lockdep on IA64, but it
didn't get anywhere:

Any chance someone could look into resurrecting it or at least the
support functionality for ftrace?
