I find some venders put the gic and/or timer node under the soc node, such as arch/arm64/boot/dts/marvell/berlin4ct.dtsi, arch/arm64/boot/dts/mediatek/mt8173.dtsi and arch/arm64/boot/dts/qcom/msm8916.dtsi.
