`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings [1]. A trailing zero is already handled by the kcalloc | *str = kcalloc(element->string.length + 1, sizeof(u8), GFP_KERNEL); ... which makes memcpy() a suitable replacement to strncpy.
