Oh I managed to reproduce it by just going into the
kernel hacking submenu for tracing and enabling everything.

This build error is getting more and more weird the more I look at it.

The build fails in kernel/trace/trace_events_filter.c
because struct trace_event_raw_ftrace_test_filter is
missing. Well not so strange:

git grep 'struct trace_event_raw_ftrace_test_filter"
kernel/trace/trace_events_filter.c:     struct
trace_event_raw_ftrace_test_filter rec;

Only used there, but comes generated from a macro here:
include/trace/trace_events.h

I am not finding my way out of this macro and define forest...

I took out the patch again until we figure this out.
