tree:   https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-gpio.git for-next

commit: 7945f929f1a77a1c8887a97ca07f87626858ff42 [40/55] drivers: provide devm_platform_ioremap_resource()
config: um-defconfig (attached as .config)
compiler: gcc-8 (Debian 8.2.0-20) 8.2.0
reproduce:
        git checkout 7945f929f1a77a1c8887a97ca07f87626858ff42
        # save the attached .config to linux build tree
        make ARCH=um

Note: the gpio/for-next HEAD c378b3aa015931a46c91d6ccc2fe04d97801d060 builds fine.
      It only hurts bisectibility.

All errors (new ones prefixed by >>):

   /usr/bin/ld: drivers/base/platform.o: in function `devm_platform_ioremap_resource':
   platform.c:(.text+0xa8): undefined reference to `devm_ioremap_resource'
>> collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
