Hi, This is an improvement on the previously submitted patch in that it consists of the missing commits cherry-picked onto master, as requested by Michal Simek (Xilinx Inc.). Cherry-picking once the code base has diverged and works on different versions of linux can be challenging, but I still hope to have faithfully represented the authors intention in the individual commits.
