To control pins accordingly to the hardware we have FLIS on a separate memory chunk which already has a driver. i.e. drivers/pinctrl/intel/pinctrl-merrifield.c. By the way, this GPIO driver will not work without that one, since it's using the pinmux facility (see gpiochip_generic_request() and gpiochip_generic_free() functions). P.S.
