[RESEND] [RFC] gpio: gpio-it87: Add support for IT8620 and IT8628

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

This patch adds support for the GPIOs on the IT8620 and IT8628.
According to [0] this seems to be a custom chip design (found on some
Gigabyte motherboards).
This patch allows controlling the GPIOs on those chips because some
models have controllable LEDs connected.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the datasheets. Thus I can only
test the code I have written with the hardware that I have (which
means: one LED connected to group 8 pin 0 and another one which is
controlled by group 8 pins 2 and 3).

PS: apologies for having to re-send this, I had a typo in the
(recipients of the) original email which seems to have made some
mail-servers drop the mail.
