In addition to my previous message:

Tried HC mode of lz4 -- Compression ratio of my rootfs (the whole system) is
3~4% better than lzo; compression speed is 5x of lzo's.
Decompression, as already mentioned, was markedly faster than lzo.

Lz4 is a clear win over lzo from every aspect.
