Good.

Ungood. Why is bootloader/initrd doing that? If it mounts filesystem
read/write, what is the guarantee that it will not change data on the
filesystem, breaking stuff?

Bootloaders should just not replay journals.

...so bootloaders need to be fixed, anyway.
