I think that works - 3 cachelines is a nice neat size.

yes, yes it would

the percpu allocator is really simplistic, it's just finding the first
free region >= the requested size.

Also, there's some more savings that could be had if someone wanted to
derive the weighted version of median absolute deviation as Linus
suggested awhile back, but that one was above my stastitical pay
grade...
