Jan, Not much has changed in these cleanup patches since they were last posted two years ago [1]. Except they were posted as the 1st part of a 4 parts patch series and the 2nd and 4th part of that original series have already been merged to v4.20-rc1 (FAN_MARK_FILESYSTEM). This series does not change any logic and it passed the existing LTP inotify/fanotify tests. The remaining work (3rd part of original series) will be posted in two parts - adding FAN_REPORT_FID and adding support for the dentry events to fanotify. Thanks, Amir.
