We've already kept adding lock_acquire() manually to consider wait_for_completion() or general waiters one by one until now. It's certainly what we need. Cross-release does it, but it makes trouble because it tries to consider all waiters *at one time* instead of one by one. Yes, it's a obvious problem. Doesn't we consider an option, that is, to invalidate locks making trouble quickly and validate it back one by one, so that almost other waiters can still get benefit from cross-release? Of course, it's not the ultimate solution. But, that would be much better than stopping all the benefit at once. For example, in the case of fs issues, for now we can invalidate wait_for_completion() in submit_bio_wait() and re-validate it later, of course, I really want to find more fundamental solution though.
