Just my 2 cents: as mentionned earlier by others, I think it is closely related to rsync. Or at least it is a good way to reproduce. On my machine I had the issue very often when my rsync script was activated at login. Since I deactivated this task it looks fine so far. I could easily see some issues in my rsync log file, even a text editor was reporting issues on this file. Hope this helps to find a fix quicker!
