Ah, silly me. However no luck:

My kdump filtering flags are set to 31 so that I get only core kernel memory, 
i don't see a reason why this address should be excluded. I also checked 
on the other 2 machines experiencing this problem and the s_es memory is 
being excluded. I guess I'm out of luck :(
