For example:
doing something stupid like this 

dd if=/dev/zero of=TEMP count=15553600 &
dd if=/dev/zero of=TEMP2 count=15553600 &
ls -lahR / &
will --> end up with the following output :/

fsync time: 25.8393
pread time: 0.0010
fsync time: 20.6251
pread time: 0.0007
fsync time: 31.0960
pread time: 5.3767
fsync time: 28.0393
pread time: 16.1137
fsync time: 19.2237
pread time: 12.9312
fsync time: 25.0550

fsync time: 9.8830
pread time: 0.0009
