This should be fine for the time being, but going forward, it would indeed be better [as you suggested] to consolidate the section tweaking logic that exists on different architectures for entirely different reasons, but with similar results. That will also ensure that BSS gets pulled into .data (or .init.data for arm64) automatically, rather than requiring these manual annotations.
