I recently bought a HVR 3000 for my Gentoo desktop, running at the time kernel 2.6.25. I upgraded to 2.6.26, rebooted, and found the card was not available. A check of lspci -v at this point listed the 00:0a.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 05) but also an mpeg port, aditional audio port, and the lirc interface, all which now seem to have vanished. Has anyone experience the missing records in lspci before - should I be looking to return the card or are there further diagnostics I can do?
